  • Is the hotel open all year round?

    Yes, our hotel is open all year round.

  • Is the reception staffed 24/7?

    Our reception is staffed daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. On certain days, a night porter is also present.

  • Which payment methods are accepted?

    We accept cash, debit card, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

  • Is the hotel wheelchair accessible?

    Unfortunately not. However, we can reserve a room very close to the elevator. Please note that our building is not wheelchair accessible and wheelchairs will not fit in the elevator or through the room doors. Guests should be able to get around using a walker or similar mobility aid.

  • Is there an elevator in the building?

    Yes.

  • What are the cancellation policies?

    The cancellation policy depends on the booked rate and the season.

    Our flexible rates can be cancelled free of charge until 6:00 PM on the day of arrival – outside of peak season. The best daily rate is subject to a cancellation period of 2 or 14 days, depending on the season. Non-refundable rates are excluded from free cancellation.

  • Can arrival and departure dates be changed?

    Yes, outside the cancellation period.

  • When are check-in and check-out?

    Check-in from 3:00 PM, check-out until 11:00 AM.

    Our hotel is located only about 70 meters from the lake shore.

  • Is there private lake access or a private beach?

    No, but the lake is within walking distance and there are many public bathing areas around Lake Starnberg.

  • Where is the nearest swimming area?

    The Kempfenhausen bathing area is particularly popular and easily accessible from our location.

  • Is it possible to walk along the lake?

    Yes, there are varied walking paths along the entire Starnberg Lake – some directly on the shore.

  • What are the sights to see in Berg and Starnberg?

  • What's the best way to get to Munich?

    Munich is about 30 km away.

    We recommend driving to the P R Starnberg Nord and taking the S-Bahn from there.

  • Where do the ships depart from?

    The Berg boat landing stage of the Bavarian Lakes Shipping Company is only 100 meters from the hotel. Tickets can be purchased directly on board.

  • Do you offer discounts for boat trips or museums?

    No – that's why we don't charge a tourist tax.
