Numerous cycling tours around the lake and into the idyllic surrounding countryside start from the hotel. Bring your own bicycle and explore the lake shores at your own pace on two wheels.
Some of the most popular tours around our hotel include:
- Circumnavigating Lake Starnberg (approx. 50 to 55 km)
- Percha-Berg riverside path (approx. 11 to 13 km, depending on the route)
- Five Lakes Region Tour (approx. 60 to 70 km, can be extended individually)
If you arrive without your own bike, you are welcome to rent an e-bike from us for €35 per day and explore the lake at a more relaxed pace. Our reception staff will be happy to provide you with instructions and extensive excursion tips.


INTO OR ONTO THE WATER
A trip to the water is an absolute must during a holiday at Lake Starnberg. The lake offers numerous opportunities for swimming, boating, or fishing (with the appropriate fishing license).
Near Berg you will find several bathing spots such as the Allmannshauser Strand or the Kempfenhausen recreation area, where you can refresh yourself in the cool water during the warmer months.
Prefer to stay dry? Then simply rent a boat and explore the lake from a different perspective. From pedal boats and rowboats to stand-up paddleboards, sailboats, and sailing schools, you'll find everything near our hotel. Alternatively, if you'd rather not be active yourself, you can also take short or long boat tours on Lake Starnberg.

- Tour to the Ilkahöhe near Tutzing: A more challenging hiking or Nordic walking tour with around 200 meters of elevation gain over a distance of approximately 11 km.
- King Ludwig Active Tour (Route 08): A well-signposted route of approximately 15 km with panoramic views over Lake Starnberg.

Would you like to take your four-legged friend on holiday with you? Then the region around our hotel in Berg is also perfectly suited for that.
Your dog can accompany you on numerous walks or romp around with other dogs in designated off-leash areas such as the Pöcking dog park or the "Almeida-Berg" playground. Please note that dogs must be kept on a leash at all times along the lakeside promenade.
During the summer months, access for dogs is restricted in some areas of the lake. However, there are designated sections of the shore and other areas where dogs are welcome even during the summer season. We will be happy to inform you on-site about currently permitted swimming areas and suitable access points to the lake.
